Wheat also a bright colored straw is used mostly for horse or dairy bedding or any other animals. Also is used for landscape for seeding. Construction can use any straw for seeding or erosion control. 

Oat straw is typically a little darker not as ideal for horse or dairy bedding. More used for construction or landscaping. 

Barley straw is used mostly in removing algae from ponds or other water sources it also can be used for construction or landscaping.

Straw is available in small square bales and large 3×3 or 3×4 square bales.
